Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
At the start of Movember guys sign up with a clean-shaven face. The Movember participants, known as Mo Bros, have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their Mo, raising money along the way to benefit men's health - specifically prostate and testicular cancer.
Funds raised through the Movember South Africa campaign go directly to the the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA). At the end of the campaign CANSA reimburse Movember, a global, not-for-profit, charitable organisation for the costs of running the campaign.

The net funds are committed to programs supporting prostate cancer and testicular cancer initiatives.

CANSA and Movember together ensure that funded programmes are world-class and align with our strategic goals
